NYDHEE is a non-profit Social Development Organization have been serving to community since 18 years in sectors of Livelihood, Water & Sanitation, Health & Hygiene, Education, Nutrition sector with utmost commitment in the state of Odisha, Jharkhand & West Bengal, India. We committed for developing a society where people relies on participation for good governance. Always strive to strengthen Community Level Institutions like Self Help Groups, Federations, Farmer Producer Organisation (FPO) and build their capacity to manage the program sustainable manner.
N Y D H E E (Network for Youth Development and Healthy Environment) is a registered non-profit and non – government organisation under the Indian Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. For the last 18 years, it has been working in Eastern India to eradicate socio-economic inequities through sustainable development approach. It works with community based groups and institutions to address the issues affecting the urban and rural poor, with a special focus on SC, ST, women and children.
Established in 12th January 2001, Nydhee has been a pioneer in promoting rural development with a mandate to meet the basic requirements of the marginalized households through the much used peoples’ platform - women SHG model.
The organization was conceptualized in 2000 to contain excesses through WASH, forestry, livelihoods and eco-friendly initiatives during the time Since then, it has been working for the improvement of rural & urban poor, tribal and dalit in the state of Odisha, focusing on women groups and their cooperatives as a means of holistic community development and empowerment. Youth and women SHGs and their cooperatives were promoted by Nydhee with an aim to initiate developmental activities through an institutional framework amongst target communities.
The innovative and unique intervention combining improved social capital with livelihood has indeed brought a dynamic improvement in people’s life. Today, Nydhee is known in the country for taking a lead role in women empowerment through its unique approach of improving social capital using improved livelihood practices as a means. The organization has also successfully demonstrated leveraging of financial services through bank linkages to set up micro enterprises in rural and semi urban settings.

Mr. Prasant Muduli, Founder and Secretary of NYDHEE has over two decades of experience working with various communities at the state level with strong grounding in livelihood promotion, entrepreneurship development, capacity building, networking, programme planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
His clear understanding of the rural and urban developmental issues and experience with the community brings in solutions for the hapless backed by his exposure with national and international agencies.
NYDHEE is a democratic, secular and non-political organization with a General Body and Executive body at the apex level for the purpose of formulation of policy for the Organisation in a consultative process. The Secretary of Nydhee Mr. Prasant Muduli is the Chief functionary. Nydhee is an equal opportunity employer. |Mrs. Susama Sethi (President)||Mrs. Susama Sethi, a senior grassroots activist with more than one decades of experience. She is skilled trainer of Community mobilisation and SHG promotion, Participatory rural appraisal, Entrepreneurship and gender justice. She is an excellent community mobilise and spearheaded several health and nutrition awareness campaign. Mrs Sethi possesses a Bachelor degree in Arts.|
|Mr. Sibabrat Choudhry (Vice President)||Mr. Sibabrat Choudhry (a PGDRM holder from Xavier Institute of Management (XIM), Bhubaneswar with Post Graduate in Public Policy and Management(IIM, Bangalore) is well known rural development specialist in Odisha and other states. He has worked with UNICEF, PRADAN, Landesa,Panchayati Raj department Of Odisha and several others leading Indian NGOs including various Government agencies. Trained in rural development and public policy management, he has the expertise on Livelihood interventions with smallholder farmers, landless communities, sharecroppers and women farmers.|
|Mr. Prasant Muduli (Executive Director)||Mr. Prasant Muduli is one of the founder members of NYDHEE and has been with NYDHEE since 2001. He is an M.Com graduate from Utkal University. He has specialized skill and knowledge on Participatory village level micro planning & process, Organization Development, Management of Finance and Institution Building process (Peoples Organization).|
|Mr. Neeraj Mishara (Treasurer)||Mr. Neeraj Mishara(MBA in Finance) is associated with NYDHEE for more than 5 years. He is associated with a number of Civil Society organizations and passionately contributes in development sector voluntarily. He is currently working as a financial advisor in an Insurance company.Since last 25 years, Ms. Sucharita Pattnaik has been associated with social development activities and working towards the all round development of marginalised communities in Odisha. She had completed her graduation in Arts from Sambalpur University in the year 1990.During these 25 years of work; she was associated with several development organisations in Odisha which includes Humara Bachapan Trust and Lutheran World Service. She is currently leading the SHG promotion activities of NYDHEE. She has expertise in Participatory community planning, resource management and sustainable development. Ms Pattnaik has been with NYDHEE since 2018.|
